Andrew has worked in  the Latin American world for the past 22 years, and has been working in Cuba for the last 12 years. His current role is CEO of Havana Energy & President of Biopower SA  where he developed and managed the establishment of the joint venture in a new development sector within the Cuban economy. The Biopower joint venture will develop and operate 5 biomass power plants totalling approximately 300 MW. The first 62MW power plant is half way through construction and has been directly financed by the company, at a cost of USD 186M.  Previous to this, Andrew, developed and executed the first golf real estate joint venture in Cuba, Carbonera SA, a where he remains a Director. In addition he has also been involved trading and travel businesses within Cuba. He holds a BSc (Hons) and an MBA from Cambridge University.
