In his career of 25 years, Mr. Ehrhardt has advised on PPP transactions totaling over US$25 billion. He started his career in the New Zealand Treasury, and then worked for London Economics advising companies and investors in the privatized British electricity and water industries. He is now CEO of Castalia Ltd., a company that works globally to promote private investment in infrastructure. A citizen of Jamaica. Mr. Ehrhardt has been working on promoting private investment in infrastructure in the Caribbean since 1995. In Jamaica he advised on the privatization of the power utility, private investment in power generation, liberalization of telecommunications, the privatization of Sangster Airport at Montego Bay, and financing, policy and PPP in the water sector. He has contributed to private investment in, and management of, infrastructure in the broader Caribbean, including in Bermuda, Barbados, Grenada, Guyana, Haiti, St Lucia, and Trinidad. He has authored authoritative reports on best practice in PPPs generally, and in water sector and electricity transmission in particular. Mr. Ehrhardt is qualified in law and economics.
