Bermuda’s solar project near the airport is expected to begin construction in the late summer/early fall and will start operations in the first trimester of 2019.
This will be the first utility scale solar PV installation in the country, stated the Minister of Transport and Regulatory Affairs Walter Roban. The project’s main objective is to avoid the volatility on prices characterised by the dependence fossil fuels as well as to start moving towards cleaner and more sustainable sources of energy.
