Bárbara Hernández Martínez, the Director General for Power Generation at AZCUBA, has confirmed she will participate at CEIF. Ms. Hernandez leads a division mandated with rapidly expanding Cuba’s ability to generate energy from biomass. Cuba’s sugar industry already accounts for 3.5% of national generation; the objective is 14% – a total of approximately 750 MW from biomass sources – by 2030.
