Barbados renewable projects to receive a boost in funding.
Between 2015 and 2018, Barbados will receive $224 million in financing from the Caribbean Development Bank (CDB), a sponsor of the 2015 Caribbean Renewable Energy Forum, for sustainable development projects.
Outlined in the agreement between the CDB and the government of Barbados are strategic pillars that all funded projects must meet, including, “macroeconomic governance and institutional development; competitiveness and productivity; and green, inclusive development.” Additional information regarding the relationship between the CDB and Barbados can be found in a newly released Barbados Country Strategy Paper 2015-2018.
