An extra 12 MW of solar energy will be installed in El Salvador by the end of 2019, according to AES Soluciones. This comes as a part of a government effort to renovate the national electric grid of the country, to make it more efficient and reliable and promote the use of renewable sources for both public and private institutions.
AES has stated that they are aiming to invest US$10M in solar energy in the next year alone.
